Bug Report :: Outlook crash on Win 2003

Hi,

I just installed your fine product, but my outlook keeps crash after 5-10 min of work.
on my other machine (XP Pro), it works fine.

My System:
Windows 2003 Server, SP1, fully updated with latest updates.
Office 2003, IIS, .NET Frmrk 2.0

although the log reports a .NET FRmrk 2.0 error, it didnt happen before, and after I removed your product, it stopped from happening.

About a year ago I had IntraVnews installed and all was well. I finally got around to using it again so I uninstalled and installed again and get none of the usual wizards, toolbars, login info, etc. HELP!

intraVnews Technical Support :: Flickr Contacts Feed - item keeps reappearing as new!

Hi,

I am using the RSS feed of photos from my contacts in flickr and I find that there is one photo that keeps re-appearing as a new item in the feed.

It's this photo.

Currently I can see it appearing a separate item over 20 times in my feed folder.

I am using intraVnews Build 1.2.2187.20200 on Outlook 2003 and .NET 1.1 on Windows XP SP2

Can someone help me figure out why this might happen?

I don't see any more develops in intraVnews. The last 1.2 (by example) beta version date back the December 27, 2005.

Then: why not open source code to the community?

Hi,
Yesterday I installed IntraVnews as replacement of another RSS reader.
While displaying a HTML with 'iframe' I get a message from avast! (my antivirus program). I can avoid this by disable the 'HTML part check - Remote iframe tag'.
Now my question: is my system still protected?

I'm not sure if this is possible given the fact that you're using Outlook as a host, but it would be handy if folders that contain feeds could indicate the number of unread items in all feeds in that folder (e.g. my news folder would appear as "News (16)" if there were 16 unread items in the feeds contained in the folder. Bloglines does this.

Also, it would be handy if clicking on the parent folder of multiple feeds would show a newspaper-type version of all the unread feed items contained by that folder. Bloglines also does this.

Thanks for your hard work on this cool tool.

intraVnews Wishlist :: Sync-ing between computers.

I really like intraVnews, but I want to sync what I read on my PC with my feeds on my MacBook.

Is there a way to do this? Maybe intraVnews can output some kind of read/unread status?

Am I out of my mind?

Anyone have any ideas? Do I need to use something other than intraVnews? :-(

If you subscribe to the feed at http://www.xbrl.org/do_rss.aspx?val=29 and look at the item entitled "UK announces conference on use of XBRL for tax and accounts" you will find that the link at the end of this item has been rendered as http:///uk/LondonConference/ which is incorrect.

Techincal details follow:

(it's wrapped in CDATA tags as the content is marked as HTML, not XHTML).

This is within a topmost tag:

The Atom 1.0 specification states:

Any element defined by this specification MAY have an xml:base attribute . When xml:base is used in an Atom Document, it serves the function described in section 5.1.1 of , establishing the base URI (or IRI) for resolving any relative references found within the effective scope of the xml:base attribute.

Therefore the relative URI should be resolved against the xml:base

Does anyone have any comments? I didn't get a reply from support@intravnews.com on this topic.

Bug Report :: Intravnews doesnt crawl feed that marked as Not found

I have a very unstable internet connection and sometimes my internet causes intravnews to unable to crawl the feed.

When this happens, intravnews will mark this feed as Not Found or Forbidden with yellow questoin mark in front of the feed name.

But even after my internet found to be stable, the intravnews never start to crawl the one marked as Not found or forbidden. so the one with question mark, still remains with question marked until I manually click on "Check feed".
