What's new in intraVnews 1.1
With version 1.1 we are addressing various issues in the previous version of intraVnews. We've also listened to
all the feedback we received and incorporated new functionality. We are planning new features for the
next version and your feedback is welcome anytime!

Enhancements
- Performance improvements:
There are countless performance improvements. The major ones include quicker startup and shutdown of Outlook, more efficient feed checking, better responsiveness of the user interface.
- Less memory overhead.
- The toolbar can be fully customized and will retain settings between Outlook sessions.
- Major balloon improvements:
The balloon is now fully configurable, more responsive and easier to use because new items are "throttled" and appear at fixed configurable intervals. Moving the mouse
over the balloon temporarily pauses new items from coming in.
- Improved error handling of feeds. Some types of errors will be retried more often.
- Web requests are now truly asynchronous. This means Outlook will not be delayed during shutdown by feeds that are timing out.
- Improved handling to prevent duplicate items.
- Content can now be displayed in 3 ways instead of 2: Description, HTML or Description + HTML.
- Many cosmetic improvements and changes to make the user interface overall more consistent.
- From field now displays the source of the item.
- Outlook security features are handled correctly: you can add the feed author to the safe senders list in Outlook 2003.
- Confirmation on subscribe feeds dialog: if you didn't subscribe you will be asked if you want to return.
Bugs fixed
- Outlook 2003 memory leak fixed.
- 120 dpi font issues fixed. This includes dialog resizing and control positioning.
- Some issues with Outlook not shutting down fixed.
- Better behavior when Outlook hidden instance is already running due to ActiveSync and other programs that start Outlook without a user interface.
- Increased stability. On occasion, Outlook would "crash" during shutdown.
- Quicker stopping of AutoClean during shutdown
- Custom Schedule would be disabled with certain culture settings. If the time format was configured with non-English US text then the scheduled time could not be converted back.
- Feed updating now stops when the PST is full.
- Several character set encoding issues in feeds fixed
- Downloaded HTML now properly supports all character sets, including double-byte character sets (DBCS).
- It is no longer possible to subscribe to two feeds with the same title twice. Before, this was possible and caused conflicts with items downloaded multiple times.
- Drag & drop import of opml files failed if the capitalization of OPML was incorrect.
- Subscribing to a secured intranet feed via Add Feed URL was broken.
- Proxy support was partially broken.
- Feeds with Netscape namespace http://my.netscape.com/rdf/simple/0.9/ now work correctly.
- Many CSS issues in Post items fixed.
- RSS feeds with CDATA sections in the channel properties couldn't be resolved
- SkipHour parsing could give incorrect results for some dates.
- Some date formats for RSS pubDate were not recognized causing incorrect date in Outlook.
- updateBaseDateTime now handles additional date time formats.
- Images in items with relative URLs would not show if HTML was not downloaded.
- Feed items with a link to an image and not an HTML page would show garbled content. Outlook will now correctly display content that links to an image file as opposed to an HTML file correctly.
- NameResolutionFailure error would disable feed instead of retrying.
- Updated request to avoid receiving cached content for RSS feeds.
- OPML Export now defaults to filename MySubscriptions.opml. Previously it was possible to save a file named .opml (only an extension).
- OPML import: Feeds in the root, e.g. not in a subcategory would not import.
- Installer designed to work with Outlook 12.
- Could not add some items to safe sender list in Outlook 2003. The From email address is now always a valid email address.
- Links with + signs in the URL now decoded correctly.
- Limited online search results to 100 items to avoid the search dialog from "hanging" with large result sets.
- intraVnews is compatible with Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 Beta.
